Monkey Bread Muffins

Last night Belle spent the night with one of her friends so this morning I only have to feed the boys, myself, and my grandmother.  I cut this recipe in half because I knew there was no way we could put away that much food.  Nathan, my grandmother, and I absolutely loved these.  My Jacob is so picky that he wouldn't even try one, if he had tried it I know he would have liked them too.

3 (12 oz) packages of refrigerated biscuit dough
1 cup of granulated sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
1/2 cup raisins (optional)

Heat Oven to 350 degrees. Put foil liners into muffin tin (I figured foil would be better than paper)
Mix sugar and cinnamon in a plastic bag. Cut biscuits into thirds, and then cut into smaller pieces. Shake biscuit pieces in plastic bag and add all pieces to 1 muffin cup.
Continue until all biscuits are gone or muffin tins are full.
In a small sauce pan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Boil for 1 minute.
Spoon 1 teaspoon of mixture over each muffin tin.
Bake at 350 for 17 minutes.
Cool and eat!  The muffins should just pull apart.
