San Diego Day 5

Today was a wonderful, easy, relaxing day.  We slept in and then decided to take a drive along the coast line.  The views are breathtaking, after a nice drive we headed over to the Gaslamp district for lunch and a little more exploring.  Due to a ton of road construction we ended up having to park in a parking garage and it cost a small fortune, but that's ok... it's vacation, just roll with it.

Finding a place to eat is hard work.

After lunch and a little shopping we hopped in the car and went back to the resort for a bit.  Phillip took a nap, Nathan watched cartoons, Belle and Jacob played in the gazebo and I read a book in the softest grass EVER (and did laundry).

We ended our night with a trip to Buena Park for a Pirate Adventure Dinner.  If you have ever been to Medieval Times it is that type of thing but MUCH better.  The show was great, all the kids were entranced and cheering for our pirate.  Hubby and I enjoyed the adult humor, it wasn't raunchy but it was just mature enough that it went over the kids heads.

The boys actually ended up getting to be in the show which was a thrill for them.  Isabelle was invited also but I think she was scared to go.  On the way home we attempted to stop at Disneyland to grab a prize for my niece who is obsessed with Minnie Mouse but again road work put a damper on our plans.  The kids fell asleep in the car and woke up the next morning talking about how great the night before was.

Such cuties!

Our Dinner

That skewer was wonderfully tender and flavorful.

Kid's meal was blah... none of them ate.
