New York City Day 4

Time to pack up and go home.  We woke up fairly early, packed up, returned our room key, and started off to find a cab.  As luck would have it, and we had a lot of luck that day, there was a cab at the drug store beside our hotel.  When the driver saw us he ran over and we hopped in.

We got to the airport about two hours early and settled in too these really awesome chairs in the waiting area.  Something happened with our original plane and it was delayed... like several hours...  Well here is the part where we lucked out, since we were there early when they came over to announce it we were the only ones there and they offered to put us on a flight that was leaving in just a few minutes.

LOVE this picture!

They couldn't guarantee that our suitcase would make it off the other plane and on the new one but they offered to have them mailed to us.  Since we had no clue how long we would be hanging out at the airport we took them up on there offer and boarded the new plane.

When we landed at DFW we discovered that our suitcase HAD made it on the plane!!!  This was a major praise.  After grabbing our bag we called our driver and he picked us up and took us back to our car.  Since we landed earlier than originally planned we decided to have one last meal before going home.

One of our favorite places to eat in Dallas is Blue Mesa and we don't go there when we have the kiddos because I am not convinced that they would enjoy it as much as we do.  After a wonderful lunch we went home to our sweet sweet kiddos.  It was soooooo nice to see them, I love having a weekend away but I always miss them a TON.
