Creamy Balsamic Chicken

This chicken is wonderful but the best part of the whole dish is the sauce.  If you have followed my blog at all then you know how much I LOVE balsamic vinegar and this dish does not disappoint! 

While the flavor is wonderful the prep and lack of effort you put into this recipe is just as great.  I adore a meal that can be thrown together quickly and easily.  Last nights dinner was completely ready in less than 30 minutes! 

4 chicken breast
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
Pinch of fresh black pepper
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
4 tablespoons butter
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy whipping cream
4 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
*Save your flour
Salt to taste
 
Add flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder to a large resealable bag.
Add chicken and toss to coat. 
In a large skillet heat butter until melted over medium-high heat.
Add chicken and cook about 5 minutes per side till golden brown.
Remove chicken and set aside.
Add chicken broth to skillet to deglaze pan.
Stir in heavy cream, balsamic vinegar and bring to a low boil.
Add chicken back to skillet and turn to coat.
Cook for another 5 minutes.
Add in 1 tb of reserved flour to help thicken.
Reduce heat to a simmer and let cook till ready to serve.
Sprinkle with salt.
Place chicken on a serving dish (with edges).
Pour sauce over the chicken and serve.

Because we like the sauce so much I doubled it!
